What BloodId is

BloodId is a blood-test tracker and lab-results wallet. Upload results from any laboratory — as a PDF, scan, or photo — and BloodId reads every biomarker, organizes them in one place, and charts them over time against reference ranges.

It is built for people who want to keep and understand their own lab history, not just a single one-off reading.

Why I built BloodId

BloodId began at the end of 2025, on a visit to my family in Serbia. They had all recently done their blood tests, and we did what everyone does: sat with the printouts and searched the internet, phrase by phrase, trying to work out what any of it meant. The answers we found were generic — written about a biomarker in the abstract, never about your number, and never about whether it had gone up or down since last time.

I had a related problem of my own. My results were spread across different labs on two continents — some taken in Europe, some in the United States — and there was no single place to bring them together. Each lab handed me a number in its own units, disconnected from the same test I had taken a year earlier somewhere else.

So I built the tool I wanted: one private place that reads results from any lab and gives you a holistic, historical view — a chart per biomarker showing how it actually moved over time, no matter which lab produced the reading or which units it used.

I also wanted to make sense of those changes, not just look at them. That is why BloodId includes an AI assistant that points out what has changed, explains a result in plain language, and helps you think about what to track next. I still track my own results with it.

Who's behind BloodId

I'm Vukasin Koprivica, and I built BloodId. I'm not a doctor — I'm an engineer with over 10 years of experience in systems and networking, and the past few in software engineering.

That engineering background is why BloodId favors accuracy over automation: nothing is saved to your record without your review, and every reference range and explanation traces back to a published source.

• How we build and check our data

How we source our data

Reference ranges are drawn from the ABIM Laboratory Test Reference Ranges, and the educational explanations for each biomarker are sourced from MedlinePlus (U.S. National Library of Medicine). Each biomarker page links to its source, and our methodology page explains the process in full.

Accuracy & human review

Every uploaded result is read by AI, checked by rule-based plausibility checks, and shown to you to confirm before anything is saved — no value enters your record without your review. We deliberately favor accuracy over automation.

Privacy

Your health data is encrypted in transit and at rest, only you can access your records, and we never sell or share your data. You can delete any result — or your whole account — at any time.
